What a great, fun experience to be highlighted in the “What it’s like to be…” column of 435 magazine (a Kansas City Magazine). Got to head down to a great photo studio near Kemper Arena (in the West Bottoms area of KC) and took plenty of magic props. From the stuffed animal bunny I use in my shows to add comedy, to a classic magic hat… I was prepared! But when it came right down to it, the photographer and the editor liked how I could spring cards from hand to hand. Good thing I brought about 6 new decks of cards to keep things moving!

You’ll see in the picture below that it’s a real deck of cards, and it’s just high speed photography that captures the moment.

The photoshoot only took about 20 minutes, and we did some with the jacket on, and some with it off. In the end, they liked how it looked when I just sprung the cards in the air – and I agree – it’s a fun picture… but it doesn’t necessarily show the skill that I’ve been working on since 6th grade!

Hope you enjoy the picture, and take a look around magicscott.com. I hope I can perform for you or your group some time.
